Open Spaces – Tracing the Architecture of Time invites the audience on a sonic time travel into the boundaries between the physical and the imaginary. At the heart of the evening are three works for electric guitar and electronics, each offering a personal lens through which to explore the contours of musical space.
The compositions unfold from the acoustic behaviour of sound, spatial parameters and thresholds, exploring the worlds of feedback systems, delicate spectromorphologies, and tipping points, constantly shifting and evolving.
The international collaboration brings together Swiss-based composers Elena Rykova and Micha Seidenberg with Austrian guitarist, composer and performer Samuel Toro Pérez. The concert will tour Switzerland and Austria in 2024-2025.
